Our ministries reflect our conviction that the preaching and teaching of God\u2019s Word is the primary means the Lord has appointed for the edification of the saints.\u00a0 Practical application of the truths of God\u2019s word to the life of the believer has been, and will continue to be, the focus of our ministries with special attention often given to evangelism.<\/p>\n
Classes are from 9:30am to 10:15am. Along with an adult class we have\u00a0 several children\u2019s classes tailored to the level of understanding and comprehension of the class\u2019s age group. An emphasis is given to evangelism and encouragement in the faith, while endeavoring to give the truths of God\u2019s Word practical application in the lives of the children.<\/p>\n
We gather to worship our God each Lord\u2019s Day morning from 10:45am to 12:30pm. Our worship, like our faith, is God-centered. We gather not to glorify men or to be entertained, but to give to the Lord the worship that he requires and deserves. Our worship is simple, consisting only of those things that have the clear warrant of the Bible. We pray and sing and read the Scriptures and give attention to the preaching of the Word. Beyond these things we have no liberty or desire. We believe that God is honored in this way and that he meets with us when we worship him in spirit and in truth.<\/p>\n
We return to God\u2019s house each Lord\u2019s Day from 5:00pm to 6:30pm (except on the first Sunday of the month when we have our fellowship lunch followed by an afternoon prayer service at 2:00pm).<\/p>\n
On Wednesday nights at 7:00pm and the first Lord\u2019s Day of every month at 2:00pm, we gather to seek the living God in prayer. The prayer meetings open with a hymn, often a short devotional, and generally last around an hour. It has been a great encouragement to see how our Heavenly Father has blessed our efforts to pray as a local church over the years, and we trust that He will continue to use these occasions to do more than we could ever ask or think (Eph. 3:20-21).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Once a quarter our men meet at our building for breakfast and prayer. We enjoy good food and fellowship together, then one of the men will give a short devoltional, then usually a second man will give his personal testimony of God’s grace in his life, and then we separate into small groups for a time of prayer for one another. All men are welcome to attend these gatherings, and we pray that God will use them mightily for mutual edification (Prov. 27:17).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The ladies meet once a month for prayer, fellowship, and the study of the Scriptures. We share our struggles as well as our blessings with each other and then seek and thank the Lord on behalf of our sisters in Christ.
