Couples Retreat

In the spring of each year, Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church is host to a retreat for couples. The retreat is open to all couples who wish to come and be instructed and encouraged in their marriages by what the Bible has to say concerning the blessings and responsibilities of the husband and wife relationship.

The retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to spend time alone together as well as to enjoy fellowship with other couples.

This year’s retreat will take place Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th in the beautiful little Bavarian village of Leavenworth, WA.

We will meet at the First Baptist Church of Leavenworth located right across the street from the main downtown area. MAP

The first session begins Friday at 7pm.  If you can, arrive in Leavenworth early and visit the village ahead of time. The second session is Saturday at 11am followed by an optional group lunch.

Our speaker this year will be Pastor Jim Domm of Englewood Baptist Church New Jersey. We are very thankful that Pastor Jim Domm has agreed to come this year as Pastor Stu Johnston (who was to be our speaker) has been providentially hindered from joining us.

Pastor Domm graduated from Trinity Ministerial Academy in 1988. He also earned the M. Div. Degree from Reformed Baptist Seminary in Sacramento, California. Pastor Jim served in the pastoral ministry for five years before coming to Englewood in 1995. He has ministered to pastors and churches at conferences and retreats in the US and around the world. He and his wife, Brenda, have been married for 37 years. They have one married daughter and three grandchildren.

Pastor Domm will be bringing two messages:
“Notes from the Song of Songs”
1.The Glory of Marital Love
2.The Glory of Divine Love
