Couples Retreat

In the spring of each year, Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church is host to a retreat for couples. The retreat is open to all couples who wish to come and be instructed and encouraged in their marriages by what the Bible has to say concerning the blessings and responsibilities of the husband and wife relationship.

The retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to spend time alone together as well as to enjoy fellowship with other couples.

This year’s retreat will take place Friday and Saturday, May 5th and 6th in the beautiful little Bavarian village of Leavenworth, WA.

We will meet at the First Baptist Church of Leavenworth located right across the street from the main downtown area. MAP

The first session begins Friday at 7pm.  If you can, arrive in Leavenworth early and visit the village ahead of time. The second session is Saturday at 11am.

Our speaker this year will be Pastor Bryan Wheeler of Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church of Verona, Virginia.

Pastor Wheeler was converted to Christ in 1973. For most of the 20 years that he served in the U.S. Air Force he was actively involved in church-based preaching and teaching ministries in the U.S. and overseas. Pastor Wheeler was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1987 and was called into full time ministry in 1989. He is presently the pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Verona, VA. Pastor Wheeler is married to his wife, Maureen and they have six adult children.

The topics will be ‘Biblical Conflict Resolution’ and ‘Resurrecting Romance in the Marriage Relationship’.
