In the spring of each year, Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church is host to a retreat for married couples. The retreat is open to all married couples who wish to come and be instructed and encouraged in their marriages by what the Bible has to say concerning the blessings and responsibilities of the husband-and-wife relationship.

The retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to spend time alone together as well as to enjoy fellowship with other couples.

This year’s retreat will take place has already taken place Friday and Saturday May 2nd and 3rd in the beautiful little Bavarian village of Leavenworth, WA.  

We will meet at the First Baptist Church of Leavenworth, located right across the street from the main downtown area. MAP

Our speaker this year will be Pastor George McDearmon. Pastor McDearmon  and Debra, his wife of 50 years, are natives of Richmond Virginia.

George graduated from seminary in December 1976 and shortly thereafter moved to upstate New York where he served as pastor of the Ballston Lake Baptist Church for 46 years. The couple are now members of the Reformed Baptist Church of Richmond, Virginia. They have two children and seven grandchildren. The Lord continues to provide George opportunities for service and especially in pastoral training overseas.

The title for this year’s messages will be “Enjoy Life With the Woman Whom You Love” Ecclesiastes 9:9
